The 1st Annual Obscure Company Cookout and Field Day
July 21st, 2007
11am until 5pm
Goddard Park Gazebo Site, Warwick RI

The Obscure Company 1st Annual Field Day went off without a hitch, with a day of food, blazing sun, frisbee and wiffle ball.  Special thanks to Doug on the Grill, Aaron for the PA system, and Mark and Drew for the organization.  Hopefully everyone had a great time and next year we can hope for even larger attendance.  The full team whiffle ball game and plenty of frisbee highlighted the "field" activities, followed up by roving obstacle bocchi. Carla and John made a semi valiant attempt at Kit Flying, however mother nature would not cooperate and instead provided a perfect, warm, sunny, breezeless day.  Better than a rainy alternative certainly!

The American Cancer Society's Camp Hope was kind enough to send along camp brochures, posters and a picture of last year's group of kids and councilors.  It was a great reminder of how important our largest event of the year (The Sit A Thon) truly is, where we have the honor of raising money to support this camp and the children who attend.  Please enjoy the pictures of this year's Field Day, and visit the Sit A Thon page to sign up to sit or donate.

Thanks to everyone who came, and hope you had a good time!

What is the difference between these two pictures?

Dave has a pension for poses.

If you answered: A Goofball, you would be correct!

Some Pictures of our Site

Doug looks shocked at the joy of grilling so much food.

Aaron thought there was supposed to be a concert.  Nice Set Up!

Hopefully there is someone beyond this picture frame.  And hopefully Drew can throw it that far!
