he Obscure Company Begins the process of applying for federal charitable tax exempt status
A new development, The Obscure Company has begun researching
becoming a charity, by filing Form 1023 with the irs. This would
make The Obscure Company a 501(c)3 charitable tax exempt organization,
and any donations to The Obscure Company would be tax deductible for the
donors. We are doing this to improve our fund raising capabilities
and enable us to further enact our mission statement. Due to the
large amount of paper work involved the tentative time line is to apply
by January 2006. Updates on the status will be added to this
notice as they occur.
11/04/05 The Obscure Company applied for and received a federal
employee identification number required to continue with the charitable
status application.
11/04/05 The Obscure Company has completed form 8718 determining
the cost of application for Form 1023 to be $150
11/04/05 The Obscure Company has gone through Form 1023 and filled

Douglass and Andrew Liberato for the fun IRS form filling Friday night.

information have been assigned with the hope that the information will
be gathered by 11/25/05
